Citizenship by Investment Solutions

Under Amendment No. 140 of 2019 to Nationality Law No. 26 of 1975, foreign applicants can obtain Egyptian citizenship by meeting one of several investment criteria:

​

1. Real Estate Acquisition
   Purchase state-owned property valued at USD 500,000 or more, with funds transferred from abroad.

2. New Business Ventures
   Launch a qualifying enterprise with a minimum capital injection of USD 1,000,000.

3. Existing Project Participation
   Invest at least USD 400,000—and hold a minimum 40% equity stake—in an established Egyptian business.

4. Bank Deposit Options

   • USD 1,000,000 deposit for three years in a Central Bank of Egypt account (fully refundable).

   • USD 750,000 deposit for five years (refundable).

   • Non-refundable state-treasury grant of USD 250,000.
